DentsKart vs Cliniify: An Honest Comparison for Indian Dental Clinics

Both put AI in the operatory. One publishes its pricing. A comparison written from each product's own public pages, including where DentsKart is the weaker choice.

If you are shortlisting dental clinic software in India in 2026, DentsKart and Cliniify will both come up, and they will sound similar in a search result. Both are Indian. Both are built for dentistry rather than adapted from general clinic software. Both put AI in the operatory.

They are genuinely different products, and for a decent number of clinics Cliniify is the better answer. This page tries to say which clinics those are.

How this was written. Everything attributed to Cliniify below was read off Cliniify's own public pages on 9 September 2026 and is quoted rather than paraphrased. Where they publish nothing on a point, this page says so instead of guessing. We are one of the two products being compared, so treat our reading of our own strengths with the scepticism it deserves, and check both sites yourself before you decide.

Two of those rows decide most cases. If you need inventory or you run more than one branch, stop reading and go to Cliniify: DentsKart does neither, and no amount of the rest makes up for a missing module you use daily.

Where Cliniify is the better choice

You run more than one location. Cliniify says clinics "can manage all branches through a single dashboard, combining patient records, appointments, billing, and reports into one platform." DentsKart is one clinic per account. If you have two chairs in two neighbourhoods, this is not a close call.

You want to track materials and stock. Cliniify lists material tracking to "optimize inventory levels". DentsKart has no inventory module at all. Clinics that run through composite, burs and impression material at volume and want the software to watch it are better served there.

You want the AI to go further than drafting. Their Axon assistant, in their words, "listens to doctor-patient consultations in real time, suggests diagnosis, generates SOAP notes." DentsKart deliberately does not suggest diagnoses. If you want an assistant that proposes clinical conclusions, we are not offering that and are not planning to.

You want a bigger installed base. Cliniify claims "2,200+ dental clinics across India." That is their published figure and we have no way to verify it, but it is far more than DentsKart has, and there are real advantages to picking the product more of your colleagues already use: more people to ask, more settled workflows, more likelihood it is still around in five years.

Where DentsKart is the better choice

You want to know the price before you talk to anyone. DentsKart publishes its plans: Rs.999, Rs.1,999 and Rs.2,999 a month, flat per clinic, plus 18% GST, with what is in each tier written out. Cliniify's site offers a free trial and does not publish a rate card.

This matters more than it sounds. Software you cannot price without a sales call is software whose price depends on how the sales call goes. It also makes it impossible to work out your real annual cost while you are still deciding, which is exactly when you need to know it.

Your clinic does not run in English. DentsKart's dictation takes Hindi, English, or both in one sentence, because that is how most Indian operatories actually sound. "Chaar chhe pe composite filling, distal aur occlusal" produces the same record as the English version. It also reads intent from Hindi grammar: "extraction karni hai" is work still to be done, so it drafts a treatment plan, while "extraction kiya" would draft a completed record.

Cliniify's public pages do not mention Hindi or regional language support. That is an absence of a claim rather than proof of an absence, so if this matters to you, ask them and test it before you sign.

You want the software to check what you are about to do. DentsKart cross-checks a prescription against the patient's recorded allergies, and raises a specific warning when a procedure and the patient's history are a bad combination: an extraction on someone taking a blood thinner reads differently from the general medication flag on their file. The same applies to bisphosphonates, previous head and neck radiotherapy, and the cardiac conditions that call for antibiotic prophylaxis.

Cliniify's pages do not mention drug-allergy checking or clinical decision support. Again, ask them.

You want a firm line about what the software writes. DentsKart drafts and you save. Dictation never writes to a record on its own, and the AI never files anything without a dentist pressing a button. Some dentists find this an unnecessary extra tap. Others, particularly ones who have been practising a long time, consider it the only acceptable arrangement. Decide which you are, because the two products have made different choices here.

Where DentsKart is genuinely weaker

Worth saying plainly, since a comparison page written by one of the parties is worth very little without it.

We are smaller. Cliniify claims 2,200+ clinics. We do not publish a number, and ours is a great deal lower. If the size of the user base is part of how you judge risk, that judgement does not favour us.

No inventory, no multi-branch. Covered above and worth repeating, because these are the two most common reasons a clinic tries DentsKart and leaves.

Fewer integrations. Cliniify advertises things like smart toothbrush integration and patient face recognition for check-ins. We have neither, and no near-term plan for either.

Automated WhatsApp is not live. One-tap click-to-chat from any patient record works today. Fully automated reminders are built and switched off pending Meta Business approval of the WhatsApp Cloud API account. We will not describe them as shipped until they are.

How to decide in an afternoon

Ignore the feature tables, including the one above. Do this instead:

  1. Take both free trials. Both are free and neither asks for a card.
  2. Dictate one real note into each, the way you actually speak in the operatory, mixed language and all. Then look at what each one produced and ask whether you would have signed it.
  3. Ask each one for pricing in writing before the trial ends, including what happens at renewal.
  4. Check the two dealbreakers. Inventory and multiple branches. If you need either, the decision is already made.
  5. Export your data on day one. Not month twelve. Whichever product you choose, find out what leaving looks like before you have a year of records in it. DentsKart exports to Excel and CSV from every list at any time. Ask Cliniify what theirs looks like.

What we are not going to tell you

We are not going to quote you a percentage improvement our clinics have seen. We do not have a sample big enough for the number to mean anything, and an unsourced statistic in a comparison written by a vendor is worth exactly nothing. Earlier versions of our own marketing carried figures like that and they were withdrawn.

If a comparison page anywhere, including this one, gives you a precise improvement figure without telling you the sample size and how it was measured, treat it as advertising.

DentsKart is practice management software for Indian dental clinics: appointments, patient records and FDI tooth charts, multi-visit treatment plans, lab cases, GST billing and an online booking page. Pricing is on the pricing page, the full feature list is on features, and the 14-day trial does not ask for a card. Cliniify's own site is at cliniify.com and is the right place to check anything attributed to them here.
