Why we exist
India has more than two lakh dentists. Most of them don’t run hospitals. They run a single chair, sometimes two, often above a pharmacy or beside a sari shop. They are the doctor, the receptionist, the accountant, and the marketing department, usually all before lunch.
We started DentsKart after watching a dentist friend spend her Sunday evening re-typing the week’s appointments from a paper diary into an Excel sheet, calling patients one by one to remind them about Monday, and apologising to a couple who showed up at the same time because she’d double-booked the 4 p.m. slot. She is one of the best clinicians we know. None of that work made her a better dentist.
The software the world had on offer was either built for a US insurance system she will never use, or priced for a twenty-chair hospital she will never run. So we built the third option, the one that fits the way Indian clinics actually work, and the budget Indian clinics actually have.

Software should disappear into the day.
A dentist shouldn’t have to take a course to use her own tools. If a feature needs a training session, we built it wrong. The clinic comes first; the software waits its turn.
Price decides who gets to play.

Where we are, where we’re going
Today, DentsKart runs the front-and-back of clinics across India: appointments, patient records, a tooth-by-tooth dental chart, GST-compliant invoices with UPI payment links, a public booking page on a clinic’s own subdomain, and AI that helps dentists draft treatment plans in seconds instead of minutes. We also publish a public directory of every verified clinic on the platform so patients searching for a dentist near them, by procedure, city, or language, find the right one in seconds.
What’s next is bigger. WhatsApp reminders the moment Meta finishes our verification. An insurance and TPA-claims module for clinics that work with corporate panels. AI that explains a root canal to a nervous patient in Marathi, drafts a consent form in Tamil, and summarises a complicated medical history before the patient sits in the chair. Every release we ship makes the dentist’s life a little quieter, and the patient’s experience a little warmer.
A quick note: we’re not Dentalkart
DentsKart (the software running the clinic) is sometimes confused with Dentalkart (an Indian dental-supplies e-commerce store). The two companies share neither ownership nor leadership. If a Google search for “dentskart” autocorrected you to “dentalkart”, you’re in the right place now.
